Come to Jesus!

Out of so many different church denominations and so many different ideas, how can you know what is the right way? God is the only One who can teach you the right way. You just have to listen. God says to "Give ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech."
If someone wrote a book on a new theory they created, and you couldn’t quite grasp it, who would you rather have explain it to you, the author or a fellow reader? The Bible is God’s word. You should go to Him and learn from Him. Jesus said: "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
To the people who don’t know God, The Bible is confusion. Isaiah 28:9-13 says: "Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." Without God’s Spirit to teach you, you’d never be able to understand.
The only thing on this earth that is important is your relationship with Jesus. No matter what your status on earth, your status with God is what will matter in heaven. You can never spend too much time with Jesus. God watches over the sparrows, He’ll most certainly care for all your needs. Being with Him will never take you away from something more important—because there is nothing more important. When you’re busy planning all you need to do, remember, the only thing that is of eternal importance is spending time with Jesus.
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

God is still watching us

This world seems to be full of bad guys and sin. It almost seems like no one knows what good is anymore. You might be tempted to think that God must have forgotten all about us. But don’t be discouraged,“God is angry with the wicked every day.”  Judgment will come to the wicked.  The Devil is not going to win in the end.
    Remember,
“When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever” (Psalm 92:7).

God knows what is going on, and don’t worry, God will be with His people always.

“Let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendeth them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in Thee. For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:11).

God will see you through

As you go through life, there are many problems to face. You might see dark clouds of trouble stretching as far as you can see. Don’t give up or try to face the storm by yourself. If you will just rest in Jesus, He will give you peace; and the problems won’t seem so unbearable. Everyone has troubles, but God can turn your problems into something good for you.
Like a song says,

“For if I never had a problem, I wouldn’t know that He could solve them: I wouldn’t know what faith in God could do.”

God isn’t bothered when we ask Him for help. No, He wants us to bring our troubles to Him and trust Him to see us through.
Remember in 2 Chronicles 16:7-8 how it says:

“And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him,
Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the Lord thy God,
therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen?
Yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.”

Asa had asked God to help them when they had an “host of a thousand thousand and three hundred chariots” to deal with, and God smote the Ethiopians for them. But then came another problem, and Asa tried to take care of it on his own. Maybe he thought that it wasn’t a big enough problem to bother God about and that they had enough money to hire some help. But God didn’t like it and Asa had wars from then on because he relied on something else.
So let’s remember that if we will let Him, He will see us through.

We were quite busy last month getting ready my sister’s graduation party. Gardening, mowing, pulling weeds around buildings, cleaning the house, shopping, as well as lots of Bible reading pretty much filled up whole days. My family reads through the Bible once a year and when we complete our trip through the Bible, we begin our summer vacation and commence reading again with Psalms. Most years, we finish school on June 1st, but since my sister was graduating, we wanted to be done with school on May 18th, the date of the celebration. Quite a while before, we calculated how many chapters a day we would have to read, and it came up to about 12 a day! So began an exciting journey through Deuteronomy, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, most of the latter prophets, John, and Revelations.
The book of Isaiah stood out to me the most. Isaiah 26:11 says, “Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works.” Remember in the New Testament how Paul says, “It is not I that live but Christ that lives within in me”? Another verse I like is Isaiah 30:15, “For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.”
The people wanted to prepare and worry instead of rest and trust because they thought it made more sense. And with carnal understanding, it did. But if only they could have seen the spiritual side of things. They would have seen that “In the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength” (Isaiah 26:4).
You shouldn’t worry at all! Isaiah 51:13 says that they “feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor as if he were ready to destroy,” and they forgot the Lord. They worried so much about a problem that they lost sight of the solution.
Remember Isaiah 40:28-31, “ Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

...Endless Life...

One evening, while I and my sister were singing together, I was thinking about the "old times" when I was younger and of old people near the end of thier lives. I thought that I should go around collecting old people, but that doesn't mean they won't grow older and leave. As I was sadly pondering this, we started to sing the song, "Jesus Saves!"

We came to the verse:
"Sing above the battle strife: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
By His death and endless life Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout it brightly through the gloom, when the heart for mercy craves;
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!"

The words, "His...endless life" stood out to me. I suddenly remembered that when God came to live in me, He gave me Eternal Life; which means God's life. God's life is endless, so God has given me endless life! ...endless...! Without beginning or ending! The only way to really 'collect' people, is to tell them of God's wonderful gift of His Life! That way, they also can have God's life!
After finishing our singing, I went to sleep sssooooo happy!
Don't selfishly keep this secret for yourself, tell everybody!
